Following on the heels of Portsmouth, Norwich is considering a 20 limit for all residential streets.

One of the readers thinks the road should get a 30mph limit :loco:

A couple of others think it should be 40mph.

I think they should have installed a crash barrier when they completely rebuilt the road a few years ago.

That would have been the smart thing to do, but you know what'll happen don't you?
The road will be reduced to 40 (which everyone will flout), they'll put up another speed camera (oh yes, there is another one on the same road around 1 mile south, you know the one: near where the two motorbikers died a year ago) AND they'll install a central reservation (a la the A12) :scratchchin: :roll:

I'm surprised Portsmouth haven't brainwashed residents into agreeing with the Victorian belief that if you travel faster than 18mph then you vapourise.

They disprooved the belief, and made this figure 20mph.
