Hi Simon

The wife and I had three days off last week, and we booked ourselves in to a hotel in Nairn
Nairn's a great place, great beaches and great walks right up the river Nairn. Did you go to the little chippy in the Fishertown (Friar Tucks)?

Is that hotel not near the links putting green and tea room?

Favourite road of the holiday? Don't know the road number, but travel along the north side of Loch Ness, then turn right at Invermoriston. After about 10 miles, turn left towards Glengarry and - shortly after a left hander - witness the view towards Glen Coe and Ben Nevis.
I think you might be talking about the A82 (part of it anyway). If you ever go back up that way, take the M8 westbound past Glasgow, cross Erskine Bridge (over river Clyde) and head for Crainlarich/Fort William/Inverness (A82). It is a good bit more windy and you can get stuck behind buses and lorries but the scenery is definetly worth it-million times better than A9 Scenery.
Regards
Andrew
