I'm on at 1:15pm talking about a sharp rise in deaths in Northampton.

Good question. Maybe 800 KSIs? I think that figure was in one DfT PR.

Yes and no. He's marking time really. Some of the things he's given up on are still worthy. And he's not understood the role or the value of cultural influences.

Yes - how do they work out how many deaths a camera has saved ??
Can't be on past figures - as most of them are rising

Good on yer Paul, pleased to see you having a go at my local constabulary and their Camera Partnership.

Wonder how they will spin these latest figures on the benefit of speed cameras.

Will you get a recording, or transcript, as I missed the programme.

The partnership guy was rubbish and made stuff up.

The only two callers they had pro-speed cameras were one from Brake who said that sticking to the limit is the most important thing you can do (he cut her off fairly quickly), and one lady who'd lost her husband in an RTA and just droned on about 'getting justice'

They quoted Paul in the news later on instead of the Partnership guy, which was a result :D

Sorry. No. If I have tme to get organised I can capture from this end, but I didn't on this occasion.

I don't know how they would respond to a request from a member of the public. Might be worth a try. The programme (and the subject) ran from 1pm until 2pm. I was on from about 1:15 until 1:30 (?). I don't suppose that they will create a transscript (but I don't know that they won't either).

I have written to BBC Northants to ask for a copy of the recording, or transcript, since I want to find out what Camera Partnership had to say. I wonder if he is one of the people I have been dealing with.

Have you given their latest figures anywhere on the Forums, or press release, or are they on the Northants police website.

The 'latest figure' that triggered the programme is '15 deaths on Northampton's roads so far this year'. I won't PR about it because it's almost certainly not statistically significant.
