"Drivers will use the internet to check their charges"

What on ?
The "government gateway" ?
The same thing that cannot handle the use of the "back" button on a browser ?
The same thing that loses your password, forcing a re-register, then tells you that "the person is already registered" or "that email address is already registered", meaning you cannot use it at all.
The same government gateway that, at the end of a 9-page marathon of registration, crashes ?
The same gov it system that shows a vehicle still registered in my name, despite me having dvla confirmation of sale ?

I got another NIP this morning, for the same vehicle. A "using a mobile phone while driving".
Yet the V5 part for sale was filled, signed (both parties) address and sent. And the confirmation sent back. But the police do not accept the dvla confirmation as proof of sale.

Remember the e-govt. petition on road pricing that resoundingly rejected road pricing? Well I do, but apparently these idiots have got much shorter memories. :furious: :furious: :furious:

Just exactly what part of the word "no" is it that they have a problem with?

Time for (yet) another petition, methinks!!!

(But remember, if voting could actually change anything, they'd make it illegal!)

As soon as I saw the wall-to-wall coverage of Obama's victory on TV, radio and in the papers, I immediately thought "I wonder what anti-libertarian scheme the Government will announce today?"

Burying bad news - that's how cynical I am about the people in charge here.

Edit: How about this from the fantasy world of the home Secretary:

I tell you Malcolm, I'm about as far left as you can get and still can't understand anything since 1997...It's been all Tory for me! Honest!

My feelings tell me that these "dictats" are coming from the U.S. right wing...... they WILL get what they want....whoever or what ever is in power here.

They certainly have NOT come from the likes of ME!
