All that information is freely available on websites like Oak Ridge Laboratory and US Department of Energy. If you want answers to your questions, do your own research instead of coming here to ask other people to do it for you.

Charming. So you give me a load of random facts instead of giving me the one I actually ask for and then at the last moment state that the facts are freely available like I should have known that or something

Sorry flynn - didn't mean to piss you off. All I'm saying is that I already answered your question with regard to the proportion of anthropogenic CO2 generated by cars/motorcycles and other forms of transport. To do that, I had to seek out info sources. I'm not a walking encyclopaedia! So if you want more info, the US Department of Energy is a good place to start, especially as the US is the biggest emitter of greenhouse gases.

I actually agree with the principle of population reduction. Nothing winds me up than some hippy with four kids telling childless me that I'm ruining the environment.

Clearly a smaller population will be able to live better in the future than a larger one.

Yes.
Clearly.
Except, it cannot be achieved by reducing the birth rate.
Population reduction can only be achieved by increasing the death rate.

56 years after it was decided it was needed, the Bedford Bypass is nearing completion. The last single carriageway length of it.We have the most photogenic mayor though, always being photographed doing nothing

I am after the comtribution cars make to the global warming emissions on a global scale, not from a single country. Thanks for your time though :drink:

The greens have kind of got their way. They wanted us (when I say us I mean anybody that has a car and that isn't just petrol heads, my mum is a nurse and does waaaayyyy more miles then me and nurses and like saint or summat) off the road and golbal oil prices combined with Gordon taxes have made using a car very difficult. Now you would think that the greens and the anti car lobby would be jumping for joy. However this high energy price stuff is effecting (or is that affecting?) the world wide economy and they seem pretty quite to me.

I think that if cars ran on house hold refuse and dog shit and all that came out of the exhaust was mineral water and mallaria vaccines there would still be some reason to tax us into submission.

Well you should definitely look up America then. America has 5% of the world's population and around 40% of the world's vehicles! That may have changed in recent times though. America also emits 25% of the world's man-made CO2.

Which 'global warming emissions'? Nothing man is doing is making the darndest bit of difference to the natural, cyclical changes in global mean temperature. Who told you it did?

That's right, and CFC gases in aerosols were not making the slightest difference to the ozone layer in earth's atmosphere. :D

Sorry normally I put "alleged" before "climate change emissions" but I slipped up here.
