I see India also has eco-nutters with dodgy statistics, same as here...

Many environmentalists say the real issue for India is simply that there is no real push for public transport in a country where cars already make up 30% of petrol-derived carbon dioxide emissions.

What other uses for petrol are there besides running motor vehicles? The only things I can think of are lawnmowers and RC cars. Most generators and industrial applications would use diesel.

I have, and motor vehicles may well make up 30%, but most of that is those little motored rickshaws... which seemed to me to get fantastic mpg. I was taken all over Delhi in one and it never once needed fueling despite it's tiny engine :)

Another interesting fact is that the world community agreed in the mid 1990's a 50% increase in fuel usage by 2015!

So.......we're going to burn 50% MORE fuel as a Planet by 2015!

Our Government wants us to "burn less"...........and is taxing out of existance to do so.

Who's going to burn the rest then?........................and why are WE having to pay twice as much (and have smaller cars) for it when others are to pay less?

AND..................Where does THIS World 50% increase leave the Man made: "Global Warming" arguement then?
