Does anyone here know if they have to pass a test over in Eastern European countries, and how difficult the test is?

seeing that we only reduced road deaths by 1% last year if we could get any where near 15% then that would be a major win. Ban forigners

Ho-ly shi-at!

Thats at least three times the risk of collision as compared to speeding (according to DfT figures)!!! Will we see signs limiting the number of immigrants on a stretch of road, backed up by ethnicity-sensitive cameras?

Who am I kidding!? How does political correctness even allow them to make this scientific correlation, surely it must be discrimination?

I wonder how many of these ‘high risk’ Polish drivers, who can speed with impunity because their cars are registered in Poland, if at all (many aren’t), are responsible for the accidents above the speed limit – a disproportionate amount I would bet!

We have the situation in Northern Ireland where 1% of the population is foreign however they are responsible for 12% for all drivers caught drinking and driving!

they can get a class 1 licence on the black market over there. many have come over here with the correct licence but have never been near a truck before. companies are catching on though and are sending them packing. i have no sympathy for any employer who tries to save a few quid in wages by employing them. they will lose out in insurance costs in the not so long run

I know that in Poland they can get any licence without taking a test.

As soon as I saw the thread title I thought "I bet this is a link to a Daily Mail article"

Are there any figures for what percentage of the 18-24 age group in the area is eastern european in order to put this research into persperctive. If it's 14% then the whole thing become pointless.
