That's one way of hanging on to 16th place I suppose. :)

We're ahead of 0870 by a nose, in 15th slot.

Just ahead of "compel all organizations using non-geographic numbers ...." at 7154, with gap widening, and still in 15th place

I've just knocked up a quick banner:

Link: http://www.safespeed.org.uk/scamban.jpg

If you use it in forums or sigs, by sure to link the Safe Speed hosted banner directly. That way I can revise it and update all - and I am planning on revising it...

The banner is good as it says "if you don't believe that speed cameras make the roads safer", and thus can't be accused of being hectoring.

Having stayed a few sigs ahead of 0870 overnight, we've just been dropped to 16th place. As follows:

0870: 7,340
scrapcam: 7,337

We've been 'elephant racing' with 0870 for at least half a day now.

Any extra boost you can think of for 'scrapcam' would be most welcome.

Have you told your friends?
Have you asked your spouse / life partner / whatever if they would like to sign?
Have you posted about it to any other forums you use?

Hi Paul,
Excellent stuff all round - well done.

If eggs, granny, and sucking come to mind apologies in advance.

Is ther any mileage in inviting the great J.C. - Jeremy Clarkson to sign and maybe a mention on top gear ?

Also would magazines like MCN run a page or so on the story ?

:) Richard

Now 14th, having just gone ahead of faith schools. Assuming 0870 continues to pull ahead, it's a long way to go to overhaul the next one - threat to airfields - which is almost 2000 ahead.

Four of the petitions ahead are gone in five days.

One on the 15th, one on the 17th, and 2 on the 20th.

Any smart ideas about saying the same in fewer words?

Or any improvements at all?

Sorry, I'm thick. What do I paste in the signature box on my profile in order to make this appear?

Copy and paste this:

Code:
[url=http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/scrapcam/][img]http://www.safespeed.org.uk/scamban.jpg[/img][/url]

That should work on any bulletin board that accepts vbCode (or similar).
