Latest cry from misguided folks in Birmingham on news after pedestrian killed by car trying to escape Police .
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bi ... m-39403456
"A man was killed when he was hit by a car being pursued by police in Birmingham.

The man was struck by a dark-coloured Ford Mondeo in Belgrave Middleway just after 23:40 BST on Sunday.

West Midlands Police said the car had been pursued from Short Heath Road, in Erdington, after the driver had failed to stop for officers.

The 45-year-old man died at the scene. The Mondeo was driven away and police are still hunting the motorist. "
My bold.
What good a camera in this scenario?

And more news- the London case, where it's estimated car that mowed down pedestrians was doing circa :70: over the bridge. Again, would a camera have helped ?

What next- chocolate fireguards stop kids getting near the fire ?

Man dies in police chase hit-and-run in Birmingham

The force said the pursuit had been started by response officers and then continued by specialist traffic police.

It was abandoned when the car went through a red light shortly before the pedestrian was struck, the force said.

Belgrave Middleway was closed in both directions between Bristol Road and Haden Circus as emergency services and collision reconstruction experts investigated, but it reopened fully by 13:00 BST.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) has been informed.

Chases are dangerous and this will happen. Every pedestrian might not allow for very fast moving exceptional 'car chases'.
I've seen a few happening from my car over the years, but happily rare.
