Important new piece from the ABD on the latest guidelines, which have been substantially relaxed under TSRGD 2016:

http://legacy.abd.org.uk/speed_limit_signs_2016.htm

Essential reading for all motorised road users.

And my post on SABRE saying precisely this was removed!

Ah but is speed about safety or making money?

If it was about safety, surely we should be seeing more signs, not less!

Maybe speed isn't related to safety after all?

I posted this on SABRE and it was removed by Haydn - so much for free speech!

You KNOW it isn't. This just goes to show the mockery of the SPEED KILLS lot, who say that driving below number on a lollipop makes you safe. No number, so driver decides what is a safe speed. A decent driver will drive to the conditions ,whereas idiot will drive without reason.

Why was it removed? On what basis?

Long story...

It was eventually reinstated in the existing thread that roadrunner (=graball on here) had started.

I think "axegrinding" means "expressing any view that disagrees with ours"

The best of it is, if you gave some of them an axe, they wouldn't know what it was for and think it was something you would use to change a wheel on a car.
