The cycling community? What's that?!
"Cyclists as a group". "A collective of those who use pedal cycles "...Is it really that hard a concept to grasp?!

Do you think you need to apologise as a driver for the behaviour of bad drivers and the driving community needs to curb some of it more militant members activities?
When I see a motorist behaving in a way that I feel is unacceptable, I feel that (quite apart from any safety risk they might be posing) they also increase the risk of yet more legislation that will end up at best penalising, and at worst, curbing the freedoms that other motorists enjoy. (I'm not sure that's the same as apologising). Still, I'm sure plenty of cyclists must feel the same way when they see other cyclists behaving in a similar fashion?
Do I think the driving community needs to curb some of it more militant members activities? NO. That's what the police are for, and the reams of regulations aimed specifically at motorists. It wasn't always thus, of course, the behaviour of some has caused much of the legislation to be enacted. Of course, one could NEVER envisage a similar sort of thing happening with cyclists, could one?!
