Speed cameras are tending to replace police patrols, so offences other than speeding are tending to be detected less frequently.
Since the installation of Gatso's on the
A9 south of Perth, a road I frequently drive, I have noticed a dramatic
fall in the number of active Traffic Police patrols on this route. This
was common road for the Police to setup speed traps using Vascar. Now they
seem to leave it to the cameras.
