Yeah, typically bloomin' pilot. The plane is just there to carry their egos around  :bunker:

I might be slow, but I think it's clicking into place.....

You're not a rigger based at Cosford are you?

You're not wrong, with the level of automation nowadays (particularly in the A3xx types) I may as well set up a campsite in the cockpit and have a jolly good knees up!

:D

It's ok its just that my old man is an ex rigger, did his last tour at Cosford (I did an 8 week summer job at the museum - great fun!)

It was the name, the location and the avatar and when you posted your photo I thought "RAF" (and no I have no idea why, haircut? )

Cheers

Paul

 Yeah, it's just like the real thing! Seriously though, last time I played FS (I think it was FS2000) it was completely unrealistic. There was no FMC, attempting any sort of ILS approach caused the aircraft to enter a dutch roll, and the flight dynamics were well...

2004 is quite good, there's loads of Airbus variants you can get hold of that do have the FMC thingamy.
It doesn't do ATC properly though so you can't fly actual SID and STAR procedures under ATC.
I've actually done some scenery for it in my spare time, Cam Op should recognise this place...

<Taxi Driver>You talking to me? You talking to me...</Taxi Driver>

There's not really much of a story to tell, I went off for a long weekend to Iceland with an Aussie mate a few years ago which saw us doing, amongst other touristy things, a trip onto the Vatnajokull glacier - the chic attire I was modelling in that photo was the cold weather suit we all had to wear before venturing out onto the glacier.

Quite some time ago, it must be getting on for 15 years :o (Doesn't time fly!), He became a ground instructor at Cottesmore before he was posted to Cosford, not sure what he did at Cosford (not much from what I remember :)) but I assume it was of a similar nature.

Find a web server to post your picture on (I used imageshack.us), find the URL pointing to your photo and put it in a message on here using the following code:
Code:
[img]http://servername/images/mymugshot.jpg[/img]
