If the speed limits puzzle you in your area, take a look at these roads....

WHICH of the above roads is the odd one out, and why?

The middle one, as it is not NSL?

Hope you dont mind if I leave you in suspense for a while JT!

BTW sent a lengthy mail to Andrew Daniels and Andrew Thomas re. a very one sided approach. I'm looking for some back up on that. It was not aimed at the letters page, as I dont want them to feel pressured! 8-)

I also think that the middle one is probably 40mph while the other two being single track with no lane markings will be NSL. Similar around here...

In this case, it is the NSL which is odd one out, because the other two are both 40 mph.

YES, that little lane with the bend, which leaves the A591, travels through INGS, and rejoins the A591 opposte the old mobile scam site, is a 40!!

the NSL, which is narrower, but without the cars parked on, is a cul-de-sac, leading to Grassgarth.. and from it's entrance, the other view looks up the road past the scam site itself, towards Windermere.
Straight, wide, good sight lines (apart from the scam site!) sheltered lanes, and... a 40 limit!

Now I'm not sure about you chaps, but if I were a pedestrian, I would rather take my chances with somebody doing 60 on the main road, than ANYONE doing more than 15 - 20 on either of the other two roads! The gaps in the traffic were bigger, now they bunch up and jostle each other, watching their speedometers as they approach the cameras! :x
