So what intelligent thoughts led to the purchase and installation of the cameras at Ings, with no power supply/broadband signal?

Casualties (KSI) at Ings before cameras 2 in three years.
Casualties (KSI) at Ings SINCE cameras 5 in three years - more than doubled.

If somebody fired a gun up a busy main road, would you (a) Stop them immediately or (b) Send them a penalty in the post.
If somebody is speeding dangerously up a busy main road, would you (a) Stop them immediately or (b) Send them a penalty in the post.
Which policy do "SAFETY" cameras adopt, (a) or (b)?

Broadband is connected, power is on its way.
KSI's at Ings site boundaries since April 2003 - 1 ( A pedestrian in carriageway impaired by alcohol and acting dangerously on the road at 2240 in February, struck by a vehicle that was unable to avoid collision by actions of the injured party)
Not sure where you got your data from but it's wrong, would you like to withdraw it?

This from August 19th - still no cameras working at Ings!!

http://www.cumbriasafetycameras.org/library/cumbriasites03.pdf= 2 KSI's prior to April 03

http://www.cumbriasafetycameras.org/library/SiteListAndMap.htm= 5 KSI's prior to April 05

What you won't have seen yet, but was advertised in the Westmorland Gazette over a week ago - the September KSI figures.

34 Seriously injured

Was that for one month? At Ings?

Going from a handful over three years to so many in one month is really too much of a leap to be explained as a mere statistical blip.

NEWSFLASH

Motorbikes are to be banned from midnight (sorry Steve) because they have no reverse gear.

My Goldwing does and acvtually I can report that I have never had a crash whilst using reverse gear on my Goldwing. As motorcycling is such a dangerous activity with every rider dying at least three times on every ride we should deduce that all motorcycles should be forced to go everywhere backwards.

I predict this will have a 100% reduction in KSI accidents for motorcycles well apart from those that are killed anyway by people who still won't bloody see us.

No these are for the whole of Cumbria.
The CSCP website is now a full two months behind with stats, but full of the crap statistics about where and when accidents occur.
They might as well tell us which side up a coin landed when tossed 20 times!!
