Here we go chaps, sites' such as Safespeed can make a difference and they are having an impact. It appears that decriminalised parking is on its death knell for falling foul of the Bill of Rights. Congestion charging's next.

Look out for the national coverage soon.

excert from report

You and your counsel are correct in your summation of the Bill of Rights Act and no-one may issue fines except by the judgment of a court.
However, this Council does not issue fines we issue penalty charge notices

penalty charge notice / excess charge notice all the same really different system / format from a standard FPT, all forces have to decriminalise by 2010

Its this whole play on words that gets up everyones nose. A fine is a fine, is a fine is a fine. If it has been levvied against you for an infringement or an offence it is still a fine. It can be dressed up in any words, its still the same principle.

That ,by logic defines you and your activities as criminal and demands that by 2010 you will cease to trade. It also demands(by association) that all pratnership employees report to a police station to surender to the charge of demanding money with menaces.
Mr Turpin was hanged for a similar crime, but if you know enough motorists , you might escape with a flogging
Can you confirm this??

Quote from report: There are concerns that rows over parking could lead to violence similar to the vandalism frequently directed at speed cameras by pro-motoring fanatics.

Are the words pro-motoring and fanatic always used in the same line? It's probably true that it isn't pro-motoring "fanatics" that are carrying out these attacks, it wouldn't be the first time a media mogul or even an environ-mentalist has carried out such a deed to stir controversy and lay blame at the loony, barmy pro-motoring right. I say that the continual ridicule and peer review of camera data is a much better weapon against the scamerati than simply burning a camera, which doesn't really prove anything.

Regards

Andrew

Seems that way when the inumerates of the "chattering classes" are writing about "road safety". Note though, that special-interest, Luddite groups like "Brake" and "T2000" are always described as "concerned road-safety organisations"..

Much as these groups would hate to admit it their language is reminiscent of that used by some third world left wing countries.

EG - when a legitimate goverment is subjected to terror attacks the forces doing it are "liberation forces".
When the "liberation forces " get into power and forcibly crushes all attempts at democratic opposition, the people oposing them are "dissadents"

Hence the smattering of " pro motoring fanatics/vandals " etc talk when their arguements about the "safety" features of their policy are questioned.
