Hello safe speed,
I am being tried and have pleaded not guilty. The camera was an LTI 20/20. There was another vehicle between my car and the camera. I need the following information. Does the camera work by laser or radar? How much of the photo frame does the device need to read the speed of the vehicle accurately? I have asked for the diagnostic test report for this particular camera. This has been refused. Can they do that? Pianola in Lancashire

The LTI 20-20 sends out a number of laser pulses which measure the distance that you are from the device. It does this in around 0.3 of a second and from the changing distance it works out the speed you are doing.

[sarcasm mode]It then ignores this data and puts a random, and higher speed on the screen.[sarcasm mode/]

This device has become known as the dodgyscope and with good cause in my oipinion.

what sort of distance was there between you and the car in front, the way i'm thinking is that you may be close to the car in front passing the camera but what distance were you reported at?

diagnostic test report - i take you mean the calibration certificate
