Latest road safety campaign in Kent:

Looks like more simplistic anti-speeding bullshit to me :x

The advert’s powerful strap line ‘It will cost you in the end’ highlights the danger and consequences of speeding...

When I was in Anglesey a couple of months ago I witnessed several near misses and one probably fatal smash caused by impatient drivers recklessly overtaking people desperately trying to stick to the speed limit - which in many cases was lower than would be expected (e.g. 40 where you would have expected NSL). I was done the day after the smash for doing 35 in a 30 on a deserted road - hence the desperation to stick to the posted limit.

Yes speeding can have consequences, but first we have to establish why people were speeding, and also whether the limit they were exceeding was appropriate in the first place. As you say, more than a bit simplistic.

Ok I watche the video.

On the yellow advert it said;;
Speed
Use mobile phone
Drink
or take drugs

A misleading start (to say the least)

But shock horror what does the advert say...............SPEED.....bingo!

Another meaningless waste of advertising time guaranteed to make the motorist switch off to road safety.

By meeting these figures KCC will help the county’s hospitals and emergency services reduce their expenditure by up to £215 million.

How's that possible, are they going to sack all the current staff? What happens then?
