Clearly a searching and tough question, must be longer than I thought.

Will your van have tinsle on it the next time it visits?

EFC

Straight forward question ignored (as I expected) I have now put this on a FOI request. I see no problem with this info as it is in the public realm when they publish there schedules.

My mum lives not to far from there in Longton, that road into Preston is speed gun alley.

I have seen the camera between Longton and Hutton live, then they have the Galaxy on the A59 at Howick, the camera live just past the Rydal Garage, the camera in Penwortham live and then the final insult another Galaxy at the bottom of Penwortham hill.

What a waste of money

Could be following the trend of the SG and be disguised in drag :o

No sign of it on this week's or next week's schedules - obviously not lucrative enough

The award for most appropriately named Talivan site has to be the A6 Thiefside

To many pensioners perhaps?
Maybe they should look at the causes of the accidents there - maybe they were due to heart attacks at the wheel?

Oi, Ernest, I get my pension just before Christmas

Gordon's been sending me a few quid each week for seven months now!

Best wishes all,
Dave - the goat. :)

The thing I liked was when I reached 60 and Gordon started to give me the annual fuel allowance. How nice that the petrol for my rally cars is subsidised by the gov't. Sort of sponsorship really. However, I don't think I want a sticker saying "Win With Labour" on my rally cars!
A couple of years or so ago, I won an Historic rally in Wales and, at the finish my son, who was co-driver, heard a couple of local Welsh lads who had been spectating discussing my 1964 Cooper 'S'.
"Christ," said the first one, "did you see the grey-haired old guy driving this? He was absolutely flying"
"Yes", said local Welsh lad number two, "I've seen him driving in the forests before, he's f*****g mental". I took this as a compliment at my age and my son thought it hilarious.

It's great. I still can't decide what I want to do when I grow up
Now I have a modern rally car, a Rover 214 Si, for the new Enduro 1400 formula, as well as my historic Mini Cooper, I can be even more of a hooligan (off road, of course).
Anyone else want to have a go at this new lower-cost formula. Just let me know and I'll give any advice necessary to get started. It's relatively easy to prepare your own car and it's also quite competitive.
You will certainly learn good car control driving on loose surfaces.

That's it Cooperman - it's bad enough growing old, without being expected to act your age too!

Good on yer! :) I'm only a few years behind you and having retired from "proper" racing a few years ago I still race gearbox karts occasionally - to keep the adrenaline going and reflexes from atrophying. It's the best fun that you can have with your clothes on. :)

Hi

nearly a month since my original post, nearly 4000 miles covered and no sighting of any CSCP vans.

BBC Cumbria said they where on the A590 today, little Miss EFC is in Furness General at the moment, drove up and down the A590 4 times today never saw the CSCP van or vans?:o

Where you really there today?

In defence of CSCP I have not seen any of the other Talivans lately.

Lancashire is very quiet not seen one of there Galaxys for ages.

Dumfries and Gallaway no sightings on the M74 for ages.

Is this a withdrawl to barracks for a period, or as I originally said "just being lucky"

I saw a Lanca$shire Galaxy on Tuesday, being driven illegally.

ie Failing to comply with a STOP sign in New Longton. If I hadn't had a client with me at the time I would have got the number etc and reported it, FWIW

I know the spot the crossroads with the newsagent/corner shop.

I saw a Cumbria Transit van today with the copper driving talking on his mobile phone, law for them and a law for us

Perhaps they are all too busy preparing their CV's for when they have to start looking for new jobs
They'll have to lie to have a chance of being considered for other employment but, what the heck, lying comes easily to them anyway.

Just one further thought, what jobs could they do when they are made redundant?

1. Callaghan would have been suited to be the person who re-arranged the deck chairs on the Titanic.
2. Kevin might get a job with a motorcycle dealer emptying the ash trays on the motorbikes.

Any more?

I realise that there will not be many Coronation Street fans on this sight - but for the few Corrie fans like me, I always think of Steve Callaghan as Norris from the corner shop. New job for him therefore as a shop assistant?
