Not being nasty, but can you achieve near 100% in quoting posts. It makes it hard to read. :( Really, seriously, I asked SS to help me in the early days when I didn't understand stuff IIRC and AFAIK..[/quote]
no idea what is wrong with the quotes. Used 2 pc's and a iPad and every post screws up the quotes. Never had a problem onthe past.

For some reason in your previous post you had ticked "Disable BBCode", but not in the subsequent one.

Let's hope a maths pass isn't on his C.V. or else that Bull@@@@ qualification will look like the only genuine one.

Anyone can make a mistake, or technology. I'm not one to throw the baby out with the bathwater and I prefer understanding over ridicule. Members here have made points and I'd like to hear GS's answer to each. (Including mine).

Again, I wasn't trying to ridicule GS, (yet), but if he or anyone else has an argument which isn't trolling I want to hear it.

Thanks Peter.

Do you never, ever, make any mistakes in driving or other activities ?

I rest my case.

GS IS A SERIAL TROLL, but for some reason the might of SS will not bar him .Perhaps it's the time to time to ask whether we need this clown around .Me , I'm prepared to stop contributing to SS if he allowed to not to be barred & banned. Others might feel that way.

Speaking of "bo11ocks", can we please drop the "I've been driving for xx years, sonny" cr4p as some kind of "driving qualification"?! Some of the worst drivers we've all seen on our roads will have been driving for (xx+n) years. So what???!!! I would seriously hope, Greenshed, that before pontificating in your usual sanctimonious manner, you could come up with something better than that!

I agree with you.
I didn't "come up with it" I answered safedriver like-for-like after he did.

I'm not a troll however I do argue against some of your positions. If you want a sycophantic forum go to sycophants.org.uk

So we're all as well qualified when it comes to driving as each other?

I personally love it when he comes on...he makes me laugh more than I've laughed for years....I love a good clown and comedian myself.

For a guy who claims to be an engineer he doesn't seem very technical and I have yet to meet an engineer with a grasp of maths less than '11 plus' level.

When I did an engineering course back in 1974, which is about 50 years ago according to Bullshed's maths capability, we had to have a grasp of maths above 'O'Level standard, which seems not to be the case when Bullshed took his engineering course about 75 years ago (just after he started driving in 1977).

Obviously things have changed a lot in the 90 years that he has been an engineer.

This is the trouble with Internet forums; you post up information explaining where someone misread or misquoted something and others come on and ignore that. Then on the next and all following pages it is considered as factual.

The 40 years figure was posted by Safedriver it was not posted by Greenshed.

Greenshed has posted no calculations in this subject.

Oh nd one more thing, Greenshed needs no technical appraisal from you, thanks all the same.

Carry on.

Oh, yes , I see what you mean and appologise for thinking that you had posted that statement about having driven for forty years, it is an oversight by the fact that your limited technical knowledge meant that you failed to quote Safedriver correctly. Mind you with your terrible history of bad maths, it is understandable that many on here believe that you couldn't subtract 1077 from 2012. If you don't believe me, I will refer you back to the famous statement of yours from a couple of years back where you stated that the MAJORITY of drivers on NSL roads exceeded 60MPH...and yet statistics show that when speed surveys are done on such roads that the mean speeds are about 51 MPH...have you fathomed out the mistake yet?????

2012 - 1077 = 935

I can barely recall the subject you mention but I do recall I was right with some members refusing to read what was written, preferring to continue to perpetuate inept interpretation.

Keep up.

A veritable Internet storm in postings is being created; the causal link is being proved.
