Can we not get all our information on how to get away with speeding in one place? We could then link it to the ABD and Pepipoo? It would be useful to have details of cases won as well.
Examples: 14 day limit, 6 month limit, two or more cases considered one case, cannot prosecute when abroad, cannot when car registered in name of a minor, did not know who the driver was, scamera not calibrated, no traffic regulation order, speed limit signs incorrect, etc.

The Campaign is not here to encourage dishonest behaviours, but for the removal of all speed enforcement cameras, and for an intelligent approach to better driving and education through intelligent research and sound engineering.

Whilst I can appreciate the 'logistics', and whilst we try to help when asked, there is a fundamental flaw in the system as a whole.
Certainly linking cases is something I would look at.
We do promote the question over the capability of the equipment too and the errors that equipment can produce, as this makes he system unworthy.
There are various legal sites that provide some clear indications to whole legal required process of enforcement.

:welcome:

I don't think it dishonest to look for loopholes in the law or technical details that make a prosecution fail legally especially when I have found those prosecuting who will not budge an inch even when they know they are wrong and the case subsequently fails in court!

Of course it would be much better to rid ourselves altogether of this deplorable system which persecutes drivers driving perfectly safely. But to obtain sensible speed limits seems extremely difficult politically! For those prosecuting to use discretion when conditions are safe as police officers once did is unheard of.

For any lawyer to properly represent their client for sure they are paid to do their very best.
Promotion of illegal processes is another however, and I cannot encourage it. Making people aware of the errors in the equipment and it's processes is showing up the flaws in the system that already exists.

And hence why we exist and why we lobby Government to rid the Country of this terribly flawed policy.
The speed limit setting was changed from observing the 85th%ile to looking at the 50th%ile which is why we are now seeing a massive reduction in speed limits around the Country - which will sadly lead to ever more people being ticketed when otherwise and potentially travelling safely.

I think it is much worse than the 50th percentile when some dual carriageways that were 70 mph [NSL] are now 30 mph. But then the authorities are always telling lies: [remember the "1/3 of accidents caused by speed"?]

Welcome .....and I have to agree with you here. Our local authorities can't even be bothered to follow Dept for Transport Guidelines and set speed limits using mean speeds. They insist on making up their own speed limit policies which totally ignore the Department for Transports' advice on setting speed limits above the mean speed for a road.

My views do not represent Safespeed but those of a driver who has driven for 39 yrs, in all conditions, at all times of the day & night on every type of road and covered well over a million miles, so knows a bit about what makes for safety on the road, what is really dangerous and needs to be observed when driving and quite frankly, the speedo is way down on my list of things to observe to negotiate Britain's roads safely, but I don't expect some fool who sits behind a desk all day to appreciate that.
