Hi Everyone,

I live near Inverness, Muir of Ord.
[Lived in Tain for 6 weeks]

As a "Freeman on the Land" I am interested in how you all deal with
Statutes, Acts, ByLaws, Police, Laws and other instruments of the Corporate bodies
you all subscribe to.

:welcome:

So how do you deal with them ?
From what I can see of your website link you probably already know our 'take' on this.

As this site is a road user site to help all road users, of which you are of course one, we try not to bring religion or direct 'political' discussions into the forums or it would take over all areas very quickly. Obviously politics is discussed in relation to road safety issues.

I am happy for you to discuss your alternative view point in this General Chat area. :)
As far as road safety and having people with good attitude to which you seem to ascribe to is perhaps fine, but, what happens when you apply that view to a person who has no scruples, multiply that, and you can quickly end up with a lawless society ... overcrowding already causes much sorrow.
Take this onto the roads and if everyone decided their own versions if might end up in total disorder in the extreme.

Well my name is Warrick Moore
I am a New Zealander living in the south west with my English wife and two kids. I must say that the quality of driving over here is far better than back home.
Most towns and cities are connected by A type roads, with motorways within the major cities. Yes we also have speed cameras, but thankful not as many as the UK. Most are placed simply to collect money. Of course the speed kills message gets rammed down our throats as well. But when you look at the stats and in NZ
case you find that Loss of control due to inattention is the biggest killer.
I have a keen interest in road safety, but I believe current policies are turning drivers into zombies, and the belief that a number on a pole is a magic number
that will keep them safe. Any way I could go on but that is for another day.
