It's only to be expected; it is, after all, exponentially safer than 10mph!

You don't need to be spot on, you only need to avoid exceeding it.

Anyhow, hello again, hope you're OK; we don't seem to have met for a while, but I guess that's my fault for not looking in here often enough. :)

Best wishes all,
Dave.

It's on private land, so not enforceable in a legal sense. Presumably the intention is just to make people think, in the same way as the 19 mph limits on unadopted roads in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire.

Where is it, as a matter of interest?

It might be some one taking the you know what.

I could get 9.75 MPH spot on in my company vehicle, if they needed me too. 8-)

Quick Description: Driving along the coast road from Barrow to Rampside you pass the entrance to Roosecote Power Station. This 28mph sign is at the end of their private road. No need to go on their road.

Apperantly its fairly common for odd limits accross the pond. I also found out that limits in the USA were all divisible by 5 before the fashion of odd numbers appeared.

I wonder if it is Agreement by committee ? :D
Agree Peter, totally unenforceable but I wonder if that is the case on any MoD property ?

Yeah the States has various limits, that seem 'odd' ! :)
