Last night while driving along the A127 in the recently reduced speed limit, I was dreaming up ever more elaborate ways of exterminating those responsible, when I had an idea.

I occured to me that it is now possible to drive along a dual carriageway in a low powered car in 2nd gear and break the speed limit. So 2nd was selected and yes, the car is doing 6000revs and has enough in reserve to get me 3 points.

Don't give the Bas@@@@s too many ideas Adam, they will be banning cars with any more than two gears next.

My views do not represent Safespeed but those of a driver who has driven for 39 yrs, in all conditions, at all times of the day & night on every type of road and covered well over a million miles, so knows a bit about what makes for safety on the road, what is really dangerous and needs to be observed when driving and quite frankly, the speedo is way down on my list of things to observe to negotiate Britain's roads safely, but I don't expect some fool who sits behind a desk all day to appreciate that.
