I am informed that DVLA CHARGE £300, that is what it costs for DVLA to remove points.

1. CAN ANYONE CONFIRM THAT FIGURE
2. CAN DVLA (any one?) EXPLAIN THE BRAKEDOWN OF THOSE CHARGES

I will be doing some foi requests but it would be better to know the facts before I stomp in with my size 11's

Pass. I think if you have to advise of changed records - such as change of address - or request removal of points when they expire .. it costs £20 for a new cars and folio.

£300 was the figure per driver quoted by Wiltshire SCP for sorting out the Folly Bottom fiasco. It was supposed to be 'total cost' per driver.

Is that what someone has remembered?

Ah... that puts different slant . Is this the cost of the admin fee on part of prats and DVLA combined? All the same.. they made the error .. the victim of all this should not have to pay. If anyone is faced with such a fee.. query it and raise merry hell over it all.

I enforce laws. But that does not mean I want folk out there to have justice

Ok, makes more sense now. It was quoted to me as dvla's charge to Wilts. It seamed very high for a few key strokes.

It might be worth a foi request to get the true dvla charge and what is really involved.
