Just come across this article -

http://www.lep.co.uk/travel/Lancashire-road-has-most-speed.3220340.jp

All those KSI's since 2002 which the cameras haven't stopped :? No doubt the Pratnership's answer will be along the lines of "there would be twice as many if we weren't there..., we can't be everywhere....

The stats don't take account of the length of the road in question, though. The A6 through Lancashire must be at least 50 miles long in total.

I understood the highest density of cameras was on the A34 in Staffordshire between Walsall and Cannock.

Winner must the worst bit of road to drive in England, A523 between Leek and Ashbourne - 15 miles with a camera every 1.25 miles. Oh yes 12 cameras, or was it 13????. Though the A34 south of Stoke is bad, mainly due to random and seemingly unnecessary and perhaps more importantly confusing limit changes. At least with the A523 you know where you are.
Staffordshire do like their cameras.

I dunno, there is a 10 mile stretch of A3 from start to Chessington with 14 cameras on it. 1 in a 30 limit, 5 in 40 limit and remainder in 50 limit.

Does that include the mobiles as well. I have seen then at several sites from roehampton to hook.

it does not, not only that but they are ALSO doing handheld checks too. There was a copper there on Wednesday with his little radar gun out hiding behind a hedge. I'm worried I may have been caught doing 54/55 :(
