I agree. I think it quite quaint that spinny (who else would register that name after all.

) has not been banned there. Must sing from the right hymn sheet then
And to spinny as I know you lurk and love to quote us

- if I am assuming it's you and it's not - then sorry to "taint" you or "praise" you dependent on your odd take on life and your living out your life glued to these fora. I speak as a medic - I agree that it's fun to exchange ideas with folk we don't know personally but whose minds and intellect we know far better than their voices and faces in this virtual world of the internet

However, I would not defame or be delinerately insulting to someone to their face nor do I do so on an internet forum either. I speak for the entire family on this one by the way

I do tease and there's a difference in "tease/friendly leg pull" and I admit that I will post up objection to downright rudeness too. I try to keep it gentlemanly and am outrageously chivalrous to my wife at times

. Simple truth and I am not afraid of stating the rather "soppy" obvious: I just love her very much.
To Stanley Hill or whoever the web site owner is. I have not even bothered to register on that site. I have double checked with the Swiss mob who like to tease out COAST

They have no lurker or would be poster there.
However, I think most on this site would chat with you without any insult intended and would try to listen to the problems and discuss practical solutions with you. No one on here advocates any speed or road position unsafe for the prevailing conditions after all. I would not be speeding through an urban or residential area in any case. I admit I love driving in Germany. I admit that I might be a smidgeon above the lolly on an empty motorway on occasion. I admit that if any member of my family were taken ill - then I'd call police, advise them of intention and green light and just get them to the hospital

and travel at safest possible highest speed for the road in question.

This may be at the lolly limit.. it may be above. It may even be below if injury to family dictated.
The last time? Wildy was in labour. She's high risk because of past. I take no chances with her life. It's precious to ME after all!
She has a feline habit of "short labours" but her past injury (well known on this site) does place her in some dangers. I know I drove above the 60 mph limit at times. I could not wait for an ambulance as we live off the beaten track. So .. called up and requested escort. I got one on last half mile to the hospital by the way.

The police stopped traffic to allow me through a final red light setting. My wife gave birth five minutes after arrival at the hospital. Required a transfusion as she did lose blood owing to stresses placed on her even many years after the original trauma to her body.
Oh that's why I risked my clean driving licence. Fortunately she went into labour after the van timetable. I still have a "virginally issued" driving licence. I do intend to keep it so.
I accept that the JJs apologised for the chump's post at the time I
announced the safe arrival of my new daughter. I do have some regard for Kev and Jan. I cannot find the same respect for Steve though even though he did give me a useful contact over the suicidal "cycling lanes" here. I fight for the rights of my fellow cyclists as well as my fellow drivers
So to the Stanley Hill guy - post up your problem on this site. We will try to help you. Speed cams and letters to employers? I think you pee in the wind here to be honest.
Preach COAST values. Promote it as a positive. Most accept the common sense behind it and COMPLY to a SAFE speed which might even be below the lolly sign
I am trying to tell you that you have to be subtle and courteous to crack some of those nutters who push the envelope on your road.
As far as you can - keep their dignity intact. The hard core do and can be surprisingly appreciative of the gesture.
Contact "Council". Arrange for permission to place as "Thank you for driving carefully and courteously through our area" . This can also help matters for you.
I am trying to suggest stuff to help you as you obviously lurk here. Please believe that we want fair play and more policemen to hit the very dangerous. Automation is not working and I can produce peer reviewed stats from an Oxford Uni study. I can verify this to be the norm from the stats I see as senior medic on my patch.

and I can also judge from the calls on the blood bank which my specialism has a link to
