Just discovered this great site and wondered if anyone could advise on the likely outcome.
Received NIP for speeding at end Nov06. NIP requested confirmation of driver (ie me) which was sent back after 2 weeks. I then received letter thanking me for providing the information, that the offence was for doing 56mph in 30limit, and advising that details would be sent to the Clerks for consideration.

As of this time I have heard nothing more. The offence was in Nottinghamshire. If the court have received the paperwork from Notts Police, is there a time limit in which I must be summoned to appear?

I know that I don't know; I would wager the good people at PePiPoo (clicky) would.

Don't disappear, have a read of some campaign pages such as RTTM and the manifesto - and browse the forums.

I'd say you have a little longer to wait.

My only experience was a good few years ago. I received a NIP which I returned.

5 Months and 29 Days after the offence the court notice arrived.
