"Express" today carried the tragic story of 5 UK gap year students in New Zealand. One 23 year old died in an accident blackpsot and his mates are in a serious condition.
The lads hired a camper van. It collided with a vehicle towing a boat. The pick up truck towing the boat burst into flames and the inferno was fuelled by a fuel leak from the motor boat.
The Express reports that

And given New Zealand's stance on speed .. no doubt there were "accident preventing" speed cams along this road .. eh?

Well .. legend has it that New Zealand is more zealous than here over speed myths.. but at least they would appear to not to blame speed immediately for the tragedies. Perhaps inattention by both parties .. but no matter who did what and when.. one can only express condolences to all involved and hope they only remember the good times they had with their boy..
