Look, heres how it works!

The Whole point about BB (as I see it, I am not a watcher as such) is to put a group of (ideally) incompatable people into an isolated and confined situation and then to poke them with the "stress stick" untill the cabin fever erupts!

So now it has (apparantly)

Isnt this what the audiance/producers want??

Why is anybody complaining (or even surprised!)

I'm just waiting for somebody to get killed (I am *amazed* that the "Beadles about" type pranks didnt end up with a fatality or two! Were I on the jury I would be sympathetic too!)

I tend to agree. Personally I think the whole programme is pretty despicable, and has always been based on watching people get bullied or humiliated, so I can't really see why these latest incidents are any different.

Edited to add: Also, I can't believe how badly the word 'celebrity' is now being stretched. 'Celebrity' = person some people may have heard of at some point.

I don't like the program myself. My wife watches it.

What I can't figure out is why Jade can be called "White Trash" and that is NOT considered racist...............ah well there you go.

Only know about the allegations from the papers and news bulletins which seem obsessed by this programme.

As far as I am aware the one allegedly causing the fuss is only a "celebrity" by virtue of winning a past Big Brother.. and the target has a career to go back to in her homeland.

Sounds more like bullying to me on the old fashioned back of green envy more than racist rooted based on what I read in the Waily and Sexpress and Torygraph today ...

From what I've seen on the news (I refuse to watch BB coz its rot), there has only been 1 maybe 2 comments that were ACTUALLY racist in any way at all. Shilpa herself has stated that she doesn't feel that the situation is racially motivated. Its just about personality IMO.

TBH I doubt Jade Goodie can even spell the word Racist, let alone understand its meaning. She IS trash - in the USA she would be called 'Trailer trash'. Whatever you want to call her, she is a vulger, loud, rude idiot who is an embarrasment to the UK.

Gotta agree with Dusty though - the hammer attack in Wroughton was racially motivated, the bullies called themselves 'Asian Invasion' FFS. I don't know the history of the attack, but its pretty obvious to me. Trouble is, since its black on white, it's not racist. Yeah right. Try telling that to the remaining white community in Bradford, where the police ADMIT not getting involved for fear of being branded racist themselves.

I think the mad mogg has it correct ... it's jealousy ... we have in the one corner someone who is famous for being, well, a bit thick and not exactly good looking, in the other corner we have a star actress, who is highly educated, speaks something like 7 languages, and is lightyears advanced in the looks stakes.

Yesterday Keith Vaz made a speech in which he said that Channel 4 producers should go on a racism awareness course. This is totally ridiculous, as the people in the house should be responsible for their own remarks; the producers themselves haven't said anything racist.

Shilpa only said that after she came out of the diary room, up until that point she made it quite clear that she did consider the comments from Jade, Danielle, and Jo to be racist (and they were).

He may have been referring to the fact that the producers are responsible for the output of the program and after the first series a 15 minutes delay was put in to allow them to filter out material not fit to air. KV maybe suggesting that they should have used that delay to edit out some of the material.

Really? You mean they had lawyers making a desision within 15 minutes? Nah, surely not!

From what I saw of the ratings figures, this might have been the last series... now, the news media have been caught in bed with the gutter press, and caused enough of a storm to have it brought back yet again!

Why cant we watch some public floggings or executions - or people in stocks like we used to be able to do a hundred or so years ago!

I sat across the isle from Jade Goodie (Goodey?) on a plane to Egypt in Nov 2005. She is a stupid, stupid, stupid bastard. I could have quite happiely beaten her and her two screaming little shit children violently to death while on the plane. How the hell that moron is given any air time that isn't taking the piss out of her is a scandel. It is a sad reflection that she has made a decent living from being a fat, thick, idiot when every one else has to work hard.

She had an interesting take on nursery rymes. "mary had a little f*****g lamb etc" those kids don't stand a chance.
