After many years in the classic car industry in the UK, I escaped to NZ in 2000.........
Fast forward seven years.........I'm now involved with an energy saving device which is, well, brilliant.
If someone came up to you and said, I can sell you a device you can bolt onto your car that would triple the mpg, what would be your response?
My hot water heat pump doesn't triple your mpg, but it does reduce your hot water costs by a third (compared to standard electricity). Over in the UK you are in the fortunate position of (hopefully) being able to give me some unbiased advice, as you can't buy such a device in the UK.
A tankful of hot water (in NZ) costs something like 60p, with a heat pump it is more like 16p, and considering the heat pump is not much over £1000 installed, I reckon it's a real winner.

Seriously, all members of safespeed are welcome to look me up if you should ever find yourself down under, the weather is better, the driving is shocking.
Anyone for a heat pump?
