Hi - can someone please tell me what the legal position is regarding a collision in a supermarket car park which is obviously not the public highway. My husband made very minor contact with someone's car. At the time they rubbed the scuff marks off her wing and she agreed there was no other damage but now we have heard from her insurance company saying there is substantial damage.

Sorry - I've just realized I've posted this in the wrong place.

Edit: Roger - the duplicate is http://www.safespeed.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10872

Welcome along Anne.
