If there is nothing in Wales to interest you, there is little in you that interests Wales.
The tourist £ will be of interest to many people in Wales. And I'm sure a lot of discretionary leisure journeys are going elsewhere because of the perception that motorists are persecuted in North Wales.
If that means less traffic on the 55, and that some part of Wales remain uncommercialised, that's a good thing. I'm sure that tourists who respect Wales are welcome. Speeders who are not interested in Wales are not welcome. As for the slot machine emporiums of Rhyl and Colwyn Bay, who could care less?
The people who earn their livings from them for a start. The people who supply the ice cream machines and mixes, the mini fryers and grills, and associated products - including the saladdy garnish....

Which you should all eat and not discard as it helps your metabolism ...
Ooe- er basingmate will tell lecture

Little of what you fancy every now and then,....

Basingmate... at height of FMD our local businesses were literally crumbling to dust because of the lack of trade.
Like Wales, we rely on our tourists to spend a night or two in a B&B, visit our chip shops, restaurants, gourmet shops (there is a really good one in Keswick .... can recommend it actually - Wildy buys most of her chocolates there

) but it suffered badly from the lack of business as did the local markets and other shops around here.
If you make people feel that they are in danger of losing their licence for 4 marginal overspeeds on unfamiliar roads - at the points where speed limits change.... and Wales is notorious for this ... then people simply will not visit and people will end up with ruined businesses. Heck - they have enough to worry about with the weather here....
Hear that visits to Bodnant's laburnum arch were down slightly this year - perhaps due to weather and perhaps due to speed cams putting them off.
Dodgy practices occur here - but in fairness - the prize chump in charge here is not quite as bad as the weird one in Wales....
