I want to find out how fast we, the totally deviant miscreants who wantonly drive our cars minding our own businesses, got done for (if caught).

I have a strong feeling that there will be a lot of <15mph victims (<10 on :30: roads).

Both (now dropped off licence) for 70 - 75 on a dead straight dual with no junctions or other possible hazards. I have told my tale on other threads so won't repeat here, but the road is perfectly good for 100+ mph.

And the trap was a very, very hidden manually positioned camera - I can show a photo if you want. Now with much higher level of attention dedicated to spotting the sneaky traps wouldn't get caught again. I don't understand how anybody can get caught more than once through the typical static Gatso, or any other high visibility trap.

Are we talking about just Scamera NIPs? Of which I have had none.

Or are you including roadside (verbal) NIPs? None in the last 15 years but a couple before that, 43 in a 30 at about 2am and 53 in a 50 at 00:01hrs (i.e. a minute past midnight) - don't tell me there wasn't an element of first booking of the day in that one.

Never had NIP, or even been stopped.

No axe to grind, no resentment of a percieved injustice, not very sympathetic to most drivers caught in 30/40/50 ( with exception of ridiculous limits through roadworks with no workers in sight ) - that doesn't mean i approve of cameras though.

I answered none to scamera NIP.

I have had one endorsement (81 in a 70) pulled by a police car for being a twat but that was 13 years ago !

However I think this highlights that it is not a desire to race about the countryside at break-neck speeds that fuels MY dislike of the honey-pot that is the SPEED camera..

Never had any points on my licence. I got interested in this site as I was(and still am) angered about the poor justice that cameras offer to motorists. It's only upon reading these forums and the SS site that I'm learning that that they aren't beneficial to safety either. I'm am also concerned that speed limts and their signage is not adequate for the camera era.
