The theory is that people are astonishingly polarised by Rain-X windscreen treatment.

This poll isn't set to expire.

I can't honestly choose any of the options! I use it sometimes, but in specific circumstances rather than the non-commital method suggested by the 'sometimes' post-script.

I'd be happy for you to record "sometimes" in those circumstances.

It's always difficult to create a poll that fully caters for all opinions and shades of opinion. We have to compromise to some extent to fit the boxes I suppose.

Never tried Rain-x. I use Mixra™ - and I have my windscreen wiper rubbers replaced each time the car is serviced.

I prefer the Halfords version of it, but yes a glass coating of some sort.

Have read about silicone wipers on some motoring forums, people seem to think they are great, but haven't tried them myself. Mainly as they don't do them for the C4.

I said "don't know" because I don't have it on my windscreen - but I do have the Autoglym equivalent on all the other windows (that reminds me, it needs to be retreated). It was not recommended on the windscreen because of the smearing effect - and that's what the wipers are for; on the other windows it works great and really helps visibility.

I prefer not to use it.

It's great when it first goes on, but it never seems to last long. I usually drive on wet roads and park in a dusty carpark so wipers etc take their toll very quickly.

I use windowlean and elbow grease instead
