Just posted this idea on Pepipoo too...

Someone on there was talking about forms of protest against the current road safety fiasco and the truckers 'go-slow' protests on the motorway sprang to mind. Would anyone consider organizing one of these as they seem to get publicity.

On another note, no speeding fines in that day!

Personally, I would prefer to see every single driver in the country drive at 5mph below the limit, for, say, a fortnight, then sit back and watch the scamera pratnerships implode.
More chance of plaiting fog unfortunately.

The so called "Safety partnerships " can only exist if FUNDED. WHO FUNDS THEM -- YES YOU'VE GOT IT IN ONE --THE MUG WHO GETS FLASHED.(OR THE FLASH GIT WHO GETS MUGGED)

Lets take a tip from accross the Channel - DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INCOME FOR A YEAR ( OR AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE).
Apart from killing their income, HGV driving at 40 on A roads and bands of traffic on dual carriageways/motorways driving within the limit, should cause the true professionals to get VERY WORRIED.
How long before the "partnerships" start tearing themselves to bits, (NO INCOME)When the Talivans need fuel / the cameras need film, when the office staff need to be paid , and the Chief BULL need to go on an expensis paid trip that his force can't afford ("SORRY SIR, THE EXPENSE ACCOUNT IS OVERDRAWN, AND THERE'S NO PETTY CASH).
Forget the politics, the modern police force can spend money like no other body, and any idea that costs money will be ditched l.


NOT MUCH FUN DRIVING INSIDE THE LIMIT, BUT THERE'S NO TICKETS IN IT EITHER.

NO TICKETS = NO PROFIT

*NOTHING KILLS A BUSINESS LIKE A LACK OF INCOME/ PROFIT *


NOTHING MAKES LOCAL POLITICIANS KNIFE EACH OTHER FASTER THAN
A DRAIN ON LOCAL TAX FUNDING!!
