An idea to spread the name of safespeed.org.uk

IT seems that we are not attracting enough new blood from the many thousands of ripped off moterists every week that recieve the dreaded NIP, basicly because to advertise costs a LOT OF MONEY , which safespeed does not have  so as I wrote out my cheque to the scammers partners in crime, (court) I was looking at a letter from a company selling double glazing, which had a logo on the front top left hand corner, :?: OOOh ! Ithought , if they can do it so can we :D:
when I send a letter , I now print the sinking camera logo on the front, with a short message such as "SPEED KILLS? NO! DRIVER ERROR DOES",
I vary the message as the news changes.

as I send a lot of letters and parcels, this amounts to FREE ADVERTISING! :?:

As I send world wide a great number of people read it as it passes hand to hand, through the postal services etc. any thing to get people to discuss and log onto site to find out more.

I even print it on prepaid and pre addressed envelopes I have to return to various money grabbers,

I lay this idea to safespeed forum for your perusal and consent

Brilliant, thanks.

We need to take some care that we're giving out exactly the right message, so it'd be better if we had printed materials to enclose.

I had plans for some leaflets, but haven't moved that forward. I'll put it back on the 'to do' list.

5 suggestions for your reply:-
1;- maybe NO tag line, bu make the safespeed URL easier to read when printed.
2:- you supply several tag lines to use we just choose 1 for a week
3:- you supply 3 -4 each month to use, that way we get a concentrated message on all post envelopes.
4:- as you suggest , we download a leaflet and print ourselves, and add to our envelopes.
5:- a bit of all the above

keep up the good work

I changed this a while back to use on mail myself (hope you don't mind Paul) When you printed the one on the front page you couldn't see the URL as bribritisher said, so I made it black to make it clear.

Other than the "Appeal Completed", I don't seem to be able to find a 'normal' advertising SS banner. Is there one? I'll stick it on my website and also in my email signature...

Paul

Do you have a "press-ready" copy of an SS article/story that could be emailed to various local or national papers?

Or collectively, do we have some photo/video evidence that could be collated and sent to the BBC? I know they have a page asking for other people's 'stories' http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4417370.stm

Yes. But generally you need a 'news peg'.

Going off tangent a little, is it feasible to set up 'shop' and have such things as bumper/window stickers, mugs, coasters etc made up for sale?

I'd really like to place it as a franchise. I don't want to risk spending my days packing and shipping...
