I'll add various M4 Protest advertising stuff to this thread.

Starting with this:

Use freely in other forums and on web sites. Where possible link to http://www.m4protest.org

Any chance of a non-blinking version, as in some circumstances (e.g. sig images in forums) blinking ones can be irritating?

1. I can do some frozen ones by tomorrow, although with ultra-high security operating on the terminals I'm using at the moment (feeble excuse for them hardly being able to do anything at all), I am unable to process or upload anything.

You could split it to individual frames mannually using the Windoze command line version of !InterGIF:

a. using goggle.com, search for:
peter intergif sprite*

b. to find the download area.

c. Download the instructions as well; you want the windows version.
d. copy the following line to a notepad:
/command.com

e. Save it as dos.bat, selecting also to "save as type: all files".
f. double click on that, putting also the downloaded animated GIFs and the file intergif.exe (which you will have to unzip first) in the same directory.

g. type:
intergif>help.txt

h. Double-click on the help file that appears, and play with the options at the command line until a bunch of unframed files appear in the directory window.

i. You'll be wanting something along the lines of (sorry don't know exactly, 'have an interactive version on a more powerful computer):
intergif input.gif -o output.gif -split

2. This might be too late, but possibly useful for later Campaigns:

Shop in Sheldon Road, at the junction with Ladyfield Road
"Sign Solutions"
'Advertises banners specifically.
Tel. 705863
SN14 0BW

(No association.)

3. 'Come to think of it, I might just pop over to Just Click or Beaten Track and do point 1 myself...

Perhaps it would be better if it just went smoothly from one frame to the next without blanking in between.

Cheers
Peter

No more discussion now: Won't be online for two days.
Unfortunatly no M4 stuff unless J16; some meetings in 'Bassett instead.
Now, if only I can think of a way for offering/charging this service...
