An interesting quote at the end:

Quote:
Carole Whittingham, the national secretary for the Campaign Against Drinking and Driving, said: "We felt we were making progress, but things seem to have gone backwards. I feel this reflects uneven sentencing and a belief that drink driving is not taken as seriously as it once was."

Any chance of getting her on board?

I would doubt it..

She seems to consider that "uneven sentencing" and the "belief that drink driving isn't taken as seriously.." has contributed more to the rise in drink-driving deaths than the fall from 800,000 to 534,000 breath-tests administered! Another byproduct of reduced traffic policing one assumes.

Mornin' all...

Just had a quick trawl through the on-line papers and found this article in the Telegraph.

Right, time to stand up and be counted... see you there!
