Approved of the M4 protest - not sure if this is good or bad thought :o . In today's Express, he describes the chaos that now ensues as a free flowing motorway suddenly encounters the dreaded Speed Camera signs.
He also suggests staging a far bigger one, perhaps he'd like to organise it with his wife :D

I think he could be an extremely useful 'supporter' of the Safespeed philosophy.

I think if he hasn't already studied it, he would be extremely interested in the logical analysis by Safespeed, and once convinced of its credentials, he could be a valuable advocate.

His magazine programme also reaches a audience which generally IMO would be happy to accept the spin of the simple Speed Kills message as convenient, manageable road safety ethos.

He could help a lot of people understand the realities of road safety.

Was it Gatsobait who earlier mentioned Jenny Powell's potential interest in a pro safe speed road safety campaign.

I think these celebrities could be engaged in a way which could cause them to open the eyes of a largely disinterested population to the glaring inconsistencies of current road safety policy.

The great Jimmy Young has also spoken volumes of common senses on speed cameras v road safety issues in his Sunday Express columns and on current olcal radio.

Also R2's Johnny Walker, Wogan and few others have been on the general side of common sense.

Might be worth plugging for mentions to kindle interest in actual joys of driving safely and making competent progress at same time.

Hi,
A couple of weeks ago I put a suggestion on the Richard and Judy website to do a slot on Safespeed. Trying to get a short interview on the show. I think they have a lot of suggestions so filter out a lot of them. If anyone knows how to contact Richard Madeley direct could you let me know. Or put the suggestion on the website I am sure the more that do the more likely an interview will be.

:) Richard
