Hi all

I have friends living in South wales. The company I work for is based in Leatherhead. The company will not entertain employing anyone from Wales because of the annual cost of Tolls.

It worked out at over £2000/ engineer/year.

Plus, if you factor in the dreadful traffic jams in the area the engineer wouldn't get to work until midnight.

The new M4 bypass cutting Newport out will take years, so I cannot see anything improving this way for some time.

I have invested in a TAG which makes things easier, you still get held up by idiots that cannot read "TAG ONLY"

Regards

Martin

I went to Wales on Thursday on the M4. "Welcome to wales that'll be £4.80 please"... :o

BTW why do they have all the signs in an alien language when only a fraction of the population speaks it. I mean how do you pronounce a word with 12 consonants and no vowels

I'm Welsh, but afraid to say I cannot speak a word.

My eight year old has Welsh homework; god knows how I am supposed to help him.

I cannot wait to see us do you lot over though in Cardiff next Saturday, my only problem with this is we haven’t got a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd team, just put Rooney on, on his own and you will beat us.

Might see you in wetherspoon Westgate street before the game, I'll be the one practicing the national anthem from behind a program

Regards

Martin

I can't seem to find any particular law against taking photos of a talivan or scamera. I guess that the officer in question would probably try and stick something else on you though.

The M4 is littered with speed cameras! 3 pairs of gatsos in the roadwork sections, wiltshire hiding on the bridges and the severn bridge 50 limit he sits on the side of the information gantry, then into wales on the bridges again. the sods get lots of overtime at school holliday time to earn lots of cash. So take care going on holiday or to watch football matches at cardif.

“It has never been the rule in this country – I hope it never will be - that suspected criminal offences must automatically be the subject of prosecution” He added that there should be a prosecution: “wherever it appears that the offence or the circumstances of its commission is or are of such a character that a prosecution in respect thereof is required in the public interest”
This approach has been endorsed by Attorney General ever since 1951. CPS Code
