I got flashed last Wednesday by a Gatso camera. No complaints - I just didn't see it and was defo travelling too fast so I am expecting a fine through the post any day. Am pinning my hopes on the fact that the camera may not have been loaded.

Just wondered if there is any way to check if it was imminent and how long these generally take to arrive?

Cheers.

The registered keeper must be notified within 14 days of the alleged offence.

Thanks

Some people have told me that the majority of these cameras are not loaded with film but still flash - is this true? Is there any way I can check whether I have been caught or is it simply a case of waiting?

Cheers.

This probably doesn't help now but if it happens again... If you can get back to the camera quickly or can stop at the time have a look in the top left hole to see if you can see a lens. If there isn't one in there it's probably a dummy unit (although not all SCPs use them).
