Last night's programme focussed on the problems of Drink Driving in the main.
As we know und Mad Doc reported when he read in more localised press to that area.. Cheshire Force has reduced its traf pols number by half und the remainder are expected to deal with other police issues - (my intrepid hero Mark was called to an incident involving an air gun, a wounded girl und some yobs und another team to a drunken tiff in which bloke held his own Papa "hostage" with a knife. (He got community service und the yobs? They did not find enough evidence to charge any of them
)
But anyway .. I fastened on this comment by the traffic cops on the programme .. und ist significant given the relaince und increase in cams:

We have had more deaths und accidents this year to date since we reduced the numbers of traffic police on the roads in the County. We know we are missing a lot of drink und other impaired drivers und a host of moving traffic offences
Which ist exactly what the RAC . the AA .. Paulie .. majority of concerned who lend him their support all say.
Ist even what the MAD lot are saying - but vandalism ist not the way to set about getting a listening ear in any case. It obscures the serious issues of why we need to really get the policy of road safety fair, square und addressing the real reasons why accidents occur.. incredible fails with COAST!
