I was driving over Richmond (Thames) bridge at night and someone sped by and the camera flash in my mirror momentarily blinded me.

What madness is this?

I have always wondered about this.

The cams flash behind the nauty driver.
But what a bout the poor person driving towards the cam on the other side of the road.

Is it now illegal for a camera to flash if it's run out of film or is a dummy?

Local prats had Ings flashing at just 30 mph. In fairness.. Kev Tea did reassure "it was a test".. but even so.. people were placed under undue stress as a result.

We did hear of person who mounted a kerb as a result of a flash from a an oncoming vehicle. Never got a reply to the complaint..

Don't think so. The only purpose of a dummy unit is to flash anyway...

(actually they can also be used for statistical purposes, or the ones made by a south african weapons manufacturer can anyway)
