The Safe Speed campaign demands a return to intelligent road safety

I heard the AA spokesperson on the radio today spouting figures such as 90% of people in favour of cameras, and 33% of accidents caused by speed, and the AA plans to help imrove that by telling motorists where the cameras are!!

He obviously did'nt read the little gem of info. on the CSCP "Whats New" page - Dft says motorists are continuing to speed in the same percentages as before!

They are now calling it "contributary factor" rather than "cause"

I have seen 30% "speed in excess of the limit"

and 40% "inappropriate speed" as a contributary factor.

Its another play on words not to mention complete rubbish

They are still spouting 40% reduction (or upto to 60%), depending where you are, in casualties at camera sites....more nonsence.

The propaganda machine keeps rolling on. The advert was on the TV yesterday with the little girl “if you hit me at 40mph….blah blah blah"
