I like the enthusiasm of the person in the red car. Did they not see the submerged car or did they think they could float across  :loco:

Cue another caption comp perhaps

Is it me, or does it look like the guy in the yellow shirt is saying to the van driver,.....

"yep come on, take it steady, left hand down a bit and you can squeeze between the red car and the submariner."

OR

"Beware of speeding through this ford, rumour has it, a member of the SCP may be lurking"

Yes it was Toltec's turn I think ! But since you mention it ... :D

They not only pushed the boat out but did so all the way to the ground/bed !

I guess they might have seen the dark of the water as the road, especially in failing light or much reduced light when the clouds come over !
... Also the situation where the brain makes up parts of the image (we only 'see' some of it) as we assume so much ! :(
And then of course the cars might have stopped in much shallower waters and then the water rose afterwards! Not that getting stuck isn't a bit silly in the first place ... but depth of water on unknown roads can be hard to correctly judge!

Chap might be saying "I really don't think that tape is strong enough to pull me out mate !!"

Not really, but that KA has a periscope and seems to be coping.
