Run by Road safety GB info here :

£300 delegete fee and if you provide the organisers finance as sponsor you can speak, (I assume as a side event to the main speakers)
I have been offered a 40 minute slot if I provide a fee they are getting back to me over how much although I doubt it is going to be affordable.
I pointed out that it was not a collection of true Road Safety interest as it required a payment so those with money get to speak that is bias.

I have 4 issues with this agenda:

Quote:
Encouraging cycling and walking

Quote:
Encouraging sustainable transport – promoting walking and cycling

Neither of the above are road safety issues. They are social engineering by Government and IMO on the agenda for "a*se licking" purposes.

Quote:
The continuing effectiveness of speed cameras

Quote:
Lowering speeds and reducing collisions and casualties

The assumption made that they are effective and the linkage in the second item is typical of the blinkered road safety lobby.

Well the Conference isn't really about road safety it is about the organising company making a profit. I cannot be absolutely sure about their main speakers, but they clearly informed me that if I paid I could speak. I could also pay to attend, which all sounds like profit generating.
The lack of real care about road safety IMHO is clear.

Gotta admit, that it's a a damm site cheaper than many safety conferences and events that I've attended over the years - some of the safety bodies I've been a member of charge £500 plus to attend, not sure what they charge speakers or exhibitors though.
