The policeman might well have been asleep for all we know. If he was being chauffered by a professional driver why on earth should he feel any need at all to take notice of what the driver is doing provided he feels safe as a passenger?

Making capital out of this - whatever one's view of speeding offences - is to my mind ludicrous.
