If 14 days is the legal timeout upon which a NIP is invalid - how long does a Court Summons have until it also becomes invalid. Surely there is a similar time time window expiry for a Court Summons as there is for a NIP.

Not sure exactly what you are getting at but the CPS has to lay papers with the court within 6 months of the offence.

You should expect a summons shortly after that time but there is no definite time limit.
They have to prosecute within a "reasonable" time, a ballpark figure of 2 years is usually suggested.

EU case law sets it at 3 years.
