So we have 24-hour bus lanes and bus lanes on motorways, which are virtually deserted except when the odd bus comes along, we have islands adjacent to bus stops so that buses can hold up the traffic to the maximal extent, etc etc etc.
"More roads create more traffic". Does this mean that turning the M25 into a single-track country lane is going to make the traffic magically disappear? Hey, why don't we use the same logic and close most of the train lines and restrict the number of trains. That ought to sort out the overcrowding on trains, shouldn't it? People who whinge about overcrowded trains only have themselves to blame, after all!
While we're about it, why don't we build daft cycle lanes which stop in the middle of nowhere, and create conflict between cyclists, motorists and pedestrians? Divide and rule. Oh, hang on....
